On episode 325 of the BlockHash Podcast, CEO Patrick Hynds and CTO Duane Laflotte talk about their cybersecurity company and the importance of cybersecurity and blockchain in the modern world today.
In 2023, cybersecurity remains a critical concern for individuals and organizations alike, as the increasing reliance on technology has made them more vulnerable to cyber attacks. Cybersecurity involves protecting computer systems, networks, and sensitive information from unauthorized access, theft, or damage. Cyber attacks are becoming more sophisticated, making it crucial for individuals and organizations to adopt comprehensive cybersecurity measures to mitigate the risks associated with them. Blockchain technology has emerged as a secure technology for data management, with its decentralized structure making it almost impossible to hack or manipulate. Unlike traditional centralized systems, blockchain records transactions in a distributed ledger, where each participant has access to the same copy of the ledger. Any changes made to the ledger require consensus from all participants, making it virtually impossible to tamper with the data. Additionally, blockchain also offers transparency, as each transaction is recorded and available for all participants to see. Blockchain technology's security and transparency have led to its adoption in various industries, including finance, healthcare, and supply chain management, among others. Blockchain technology is becoming increasingly important in the field of cybersecurity, as it offers a secure and transparent way to store and manage sensitive information. Patrick, Duane and Brandon touch on this in the episode. Patrick and Duane also have their own podcasts, called “Security this Week” and “Entangled Things”, which you can find on Spotify and Apple Podcasts! 🔗 Spotify: https://spoti.fi/3K9kKS4 🔗 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AlQnplpWZ0 Timestamps: 0:00 | CEO Patrick Hynds and CTO Duane Laflotte 1:32 | Who are Patrick and Duane? 4:20 | The evolution of Cybersecurity 8:15 | Cybersecurity and Blockchain 9:18 | Quantum Computing and Cybersecurity 12:15 | What is Pulsar Security? 17:36 | Cybersecurity Clients and Markets 19:20 | What is a hacker? 20:25 | Cybersecurity Threats 23:15 | Pulsar Security and Blockchain 24:30 | Cryptocurrency Mining Story 28:50 | Security this Week Podcast 34:20 | Why Podcasting is Awesome 35:10 | Dogecoin Logo on Twitter 35:20 | Dogecoin Story 35:38 | Shiba Inu Token Story 36:08 | Conclusion The Guest on Social Media… 🔗 Podcast: https://securitythisweek.com/ 🔗 Podcast: https://www.entangledthings.com/ 🔗 Website: https://www.pulsarsecurity.com/ 🔗 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/patrick-hynds-968142/ 🔗 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/duanelaflotte/ The Podcast is available on… 🔗 Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/2Q0Bsqb 🔗 Spotify: https://bit.ly/blockhashshow 🔗 Podcast Site: https://www.blockhashpodcast.com/ 🔗 Company Site: https://lnk.bio/blockhash Find Brandon Zemp & the Podcast on Social Media… 🔗 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theblockhash/ 🔗 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/zempcapital/ 🔗 Twitter: https://twitter.com/zempcapital 🔗 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theblockhash 🔗 LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/brandonzemp Buy “The Future Economy" on Amazon… 🔗 Amazon: https://amzn.to/3XGT0cO Disclaimer… None of our content constitutes, nor is intended to act as financial advice.
